Βήμα συμφιλίωσης; Ύστερα από 19 μήνες σιωπής, πατέρας και γιος βρέθηκαν ξανά στο ίδιο τραπέζι πίνοντας τσάι.
Ύστερα από μια μακρά περίοδο απομάκρυνσης και ψυχρότητας, ένα μικρό αλλά ουσιαστικό βήμα επανασύνδεσης έλαβε χώρα στο Λονδίνο. Ο πρίγκιπας Harry και ο πατέρας του, ο βασιλιάς Κάρολος, συναντήθηκαν ξανά, δείχνοντας πως ίσως οι οικογενειακές πληγές μπορούν με τον χρόνο να αρχίσουν να επουλώνονται.

Η συνάντηση πραγματοποιήθηκε στις 10 Σεπτεμβρίου, στο οικείο περιβάλλον του Clarence House και διήρκησε λιγότερο από ώρα. Η προηγούμενη συνάντησή τους είχε γίνει τον Φεβρουάριο του 2024, λίγο μετά τη διάγνωση του Καρόλου με καρκίνο, ενώ ο ίδιος επέστρεψε από το Balmoral για κάποιες υποχρεώσεις στο Λονδίνο και ώστε να πραγματοποιηθεί η συνάντηση.
Πατέρας και γιος λοιπόν, κάθισαν μαζί για ένα ιδιωτικό τσάι, μακριά από τα φώτα της δημοσιότητας, προτού ο Harry αναχωρήσει για την εκδήλωση τα Invictus Games. Σύμφωνα με το Sky News, όταν δημοσιογράφοι ρώτησαν τον Harry για την υγεία του βασιλιά εκείνος απάντησε με συγκρατημένη αισιοδοξία: «Ναι, είναι καλά, ευχαριστώ».

Η στιγμή αυτή δεν ήταν τυχαία. Προηγήθηκαν επαφές μεταξύ των ομάδων επικοινωνίας των δύο πλευρών, αλλά και δηλώσεις του Harry πως ελπίζει να επανακτήσει σταδιακά τη σχέση του με την οικογένειά του. Παρόλα αυτά, το ζήτημα της ασφάλειας για τον ίδιο και την Megan Markle παραμένει άλυτο, γεγονός που δυσκολεύει την επιστροφή τους στη Βρετανία.

Οι τεταμένες σχέσεις του Harry με τη βασιλική οικογένεια
Η σχέση του πρίγκιπα Harry με τον πατέρα του υπήρξε πάντα σύνθετη.
